2. Information stored on your device
The app saves a few things locally so it can work offline and remember your preferences. This data never leaves your phone, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.
- The literature collection itself, stored in a local database
- Your chosen theme, text size and reading speed
- Bookmarks, highlighted lines and recent searches
- Your last reading position
- PDF files you choose to download for offline reading
3. Network access
The app works fully offline. It makes a network request only when you explicitly ask it to:
- Downloading a PDF — fetched from www.mavjibhai.com when you tap “ડાઉનલોડ કરો”.
- Opening a link — for example the source website or a contact email, which opens in another app of your choosing.
No request carries any identifier or personal data.
4. Permissions
The app requests only internet access, and only for the PDF downloads described above. It does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage permissions.
5. Text-to-speech
The read-aloud feature uses the text-to-speech engine already installed on your device. Text is passed to that system component locally. Whether that engine processes anything on its own servers is governed by its own privacy policy — for Google’s Speech Services, by Google’s policy.
6. Children
The app is suitable for all ages and contains no advertising, no in-app purchases and no user-generated content. Since it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.
7. Content and attribution
All literary content in this app comes from www.mavjibhai.com, with grateful thanks for its long service to the Gujarati language. Copyright in the individual works remains with their original authors and publishers; we claim no rights in them. This app is free and non-commercial.
